Gun control and gun safety go hand in hand. To me gun safety means the prudent use of firearms by responsible adults. There are those who jokingly refer to how one feels as a sniper when you kill a terrorist – and say, “I feel the recoil!” There are those who feel intimidated or even threatened by such a statement, though I’m not one. I do feel threatened knowing that our laws allow unstable individuals to buy and even wear firearms. I feel there is no place for a firearm in say, a restaurant, bar, or Church.
I certainly don’t feel reluctant to criticize a father who lets his young sons go hunting, when one is 8 and the older of the two is ten. One of those children is now dead, and certainly that family will be traumatized for their entire lives. Why!!!
I also disagree with the notion that our founding fathers, in an era and climate before and subsequent to the American Revolution, conceived that each individual (aside from hunting) needed a weapon aside from any potential use as a member of a county, city, or state militia. The Second Amendment reads … from Wikipedia
“ | A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. | ” |
Another version is found in the copies distributed to the states, and then ratified by them, which had this capitalization and punctuation:[7]

I feel so much safer knowing we have politicians with Presidential aspirations whose ads of support for fellow politicians includes putting rifle cross hairs on an electoral district.
